An innovative take on fashion being showcased at the Museum van Boijmans Beuningen, Rotterdam The Netherlands.
Have you ever wondered what the future hold for fashion? Yes we see many different takes on it in movies and other outlets. But what we thought was different and so out of the box few years ago is the thing of style at the present day!
This exhibitions holds more than fifty innovative fashion designers from around the world. Including COMME des GARCONS, Viktor&Rolf and Craig Green being some of the names.presenting at the Boijmans.
Actively in search to redefine fashion to find what in store for the fututre each design more unique than the one before. There are different approaches and meanings behind each piece, and looking at them through the eyes of the designer one can see how the creations come to life. Yes ofcourse some are just mere pieces of innovation and creativity, yet many hold a story behind it.
Truely the walk throguh the museum and getting a closer look at each piece was rewarding, and its funny to think that some pieces, i could imagine being all around us in the near future. This being said some peices are very STATEMENT style, if i can say so. Im not sure how many people could pull of a 3D dress dripping in liquid apart from Lady Gaga and a select few, but hey thats where the beauty of this lies!
Some pieces were so so out of the box that i personally dont think i could every wear it - keep it on display, sure! But then there were some that even though they were out of the box i just wanted to own, some made from paper, plastic and to the extent of 3D printing, but where would we be if not for innovation. Jeans as we all know and own atleast one pair was initally made for minors for their high durability and unability to distress easily.
So from our side, this exhibition was really quite something. An eye opener for whats in store - enjoy the pictures and leave a comment on what you think?
